If I were dead, I wouldn’t be typing this right now. …Then again, I could be a ghost, haunting your pages and chats.
Anyway, there is a reas—uh, REASONS why I haven’t posted anything in a while.
One, I had major exams in January, including Regents: One for English and One Geometry(which I take again because I had a teacher that would rather talk about his life then teach the lessons >:[ ). The English Regents was kinda easy; you just had to write 4 different types essays(which I hate doing). The Geometry, only 12 out of 186 students passed, I was one of those lucky students. Seriously, I thought I was going to fail that again. xD Ah well, that’s two more loads off my mind. Now, I just have to prepare for the U.S. History and Government, Art History, and Earth Science(with Lab Practical) Regents in June. Going be studying my ass off!
Two, I’m sort of going through an artist’s block right now. I mean, I have a lot of ideas floating through my head right now, just having a hard time interpret them.
I’m currently in an AP Illustration class(meaning lots of painting~), can’t afford to be missing deadlines, being a procrastinator. I’m just glad my teacher is actually one of the better critics, being a continuing, growing artist himself. (Yeah, he’s old. Middle-age old. But the good kind. xD) He believes that there’s always room for improvement and that every single student of his is unique.
I don’t mind critiques; just don’t be rude with them. Seriously, the Art teacher I had during Freshman year was ridiculous. NONE of my work pleased her. She was always like: “You have to more like this person or that person” “You have to do what this person did.”. FUCK NO. I do my own shit, thank you. (I’m glad I wasn’t alone with this issue) Art is freedom. I’m NOT copying other people’s shit just to get a good grade. I want to be recognized for my own shit, not someone else’s.
*sighs* Anyway, yeah, my free time is getting drastically here and there because I rather sluggish with my work and need to put in extra time. Surprising, this class is actually helping me with my anatomy and shading(which I need, according to my poll… xP ). Trust me, I would love to post some of my traditional works from the class but that won’t be so until I get my portfolio in before the end of senior year, which is next year. Hopely, I can knock off some classes by then.
Less classes = More free time
Three, I have a life to deal with out of school. I really don’t have to explain this one, do I? So, RPs, artwork, and such are put on hold until I can scrounge up some extra time(that’s not taken from me). I’ll still be lurking and stalking just, can't chat very long.
…Just five more months of academic torture and then I’m completely free for the summer! (Though I’m deciding if I want to go California or Florida. Hey, if I’m lucky, I can do both!
